A MAJOR chain has launched a huge closing down sale as it prepares to close every shop in just days.

Shoppers are rushing to buy last minute bargains before the shutters go down for good.

Paperchase is offering up to 80% off stock ahead of all 106 stores shutting forever on April 3.

Customers spotted 80% reductions in store, but Paperchase administrator Begbies Traynor is still to confirm whether it's offered in all remaining stores.

Posting on Twitter, one shopper said: "80% off closing down sale in Paperchase!

"Just got a lined notebook £1.60 down from £8."

While Parkway Shopping Centre in Newbury posted pictures of stock with 80% off its marked price.

In a tweet, the centre said: "It’s Paperchase’s final day trading and everything is 80% or more. Pop in to secure a bargain or stock up on some great gifts. All cards are 10p!"

The collapsed chain's closing down sale initially started with 20% off before being hiked to 50%.

The final 80% reduction comes after the stationer's website already stopped trading.

That means you'll need to visit your nearest branch in order to bag a bargain – you can still find that using its store locator online.

The sale counts for all products left in stock but you'll need to be quick – once something's gone, it's gone.

Supermarket giant Tesco stepped up to buy the rights to the brand after it collapsed in February, but not its shops.

The closure of all the UK branches will result in 900 redundancies and a number of stores have already closed.

The Sun found that stores in major cities including London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds have now shut for good.

Furthermore, all concession stands in Next and Selfridges stores have closed.

The Sun has contacted administrator Begbies Traynor for more about when other branches will close and we'll update this story when we hear back.

However the exact closure date for each branch will vary and depends on how much stock is left to sell, it's said previously.

The company opened its first store in 1968 in Kensington, London.

It comes as nearly 15,000 jobs have been axed since the start of the year as dozens of retailers collapsed or were restructured.

Elsewhere, B&M is also hosting a few closing down sales as it prepares to shut numerous branches.

There's a massive 75% off closing down sale at four of its branches. These include:

• Kilmarnock, Queens Drive
• Broadwalk Shopping Centre, Bristol
• Newport, Wales

Shoppers have spotted huge discounts including some items for as little as 10p.

There are also unmissable bargains available at the remaining M&Co branches.

It comes after the high street fashion chain plunged into administration last year for the second time since 2020.

For example, one shopper got a £140 dress for just £10 at their local sale.

And keep in mind M&Co won't be processing refunds anymore, so don't buy something for the sake of it.
