Our dog has his own bedroom, bathrooms and seven step grooming routine

A generous dog owner who showers her pet with luxurious gifts and treats has admitted her pup also has a seven-step beauty routine.

Sherry Tran, from Coatesville Pennsylvania, says she splashes out on high-end foods and clothes for her pet to keep him “beautified”.

She is the proud owner of Oliver, a black and white mini Bernedoodle who she has treated like her own “child” since bringing him home in 2017.

After buying a four-bedroom property with her partner Ray Cruz, the couple thought it was time to give Oliver “his own spot”.

Oliver’s quarters are nothing short of spectacular, boasting a snack bar stocked with gourmet treats, a grooming table, and a ball pit matching the patterns in his fur.

Besides having a section of the house allocated to his needs, the dog also has a wardrobe worth $1,000, including a bathrobe, rain jacket, puffer jacket, and snow boots.

Every year, the pooch is treated to a $500 picnic and a $1,500 gathering for his birthday, complete with a professional photographer and balloon artist.

“In the morning we get up, I let him outside and then I go to the gym,” explained Sherry. “I tell him to go to bed and I give him a little treat.

“I then take him out to the yard to play fetch.

“The yard has got a lot of morning dew, so his paws are really wet and dirty from all the grass and where we live there’s a lot of ticks.”

To protect her pup from the pests, Sherry ensures Oliver undergoes a daily tick treatment in his en-suite bathroom.

“I […] bring him to his bathroom and put him in the bathtub to rinse off his paws with some water to lightly rinse off all the grass,” she explained. “Then I bring him to his bedroom where he has a grooming table.”

Here, Oliver will enjoy a blow dry and have his fur combed and paws moisturized, according to his owner. Because he dislikes having his nails cut, Sherry files them instead.

Oliver has an overall budget of $200 per month – which covers costs for medication, homemade meals, and an extensive array of luxury treats.

“The renovation for his bathroom and bedroom was about $400,” She said: “My boyfriend did a lot of manual labor when it came to installing things both in the bathroom and the bedroom.

“We’re lucky he’s so handy and willing to help me make my vision come true.”

As a nail technician and aesthetician, Sherry feels she must maintain her dog’s appearance to the highest standards, explaining: “I’m not going to bring Oliver to work if he is dirty and unkept, I have to hold him to a certain standard.

“How am I going to have a beauty salon if my dog isn’t beautified either?”
