One of the original stars of Page 3 is still selling racy photographs to this day – some 40 years after making her newspaper debut in 1983.
Legendary glamour model Debee Ashby is a former wild child who became an 80s pin-up after being booted out of school. Her titillating photos were prominent in tabloids, calendars and magazines across Britain.
But we can now reveal that the 56-year-old, is selling her own content on an X-rated subscription site called Fanvue for just over a tenner a month. And her cheeky bio reads: “Page 3 girl in the 80s/90s etc now run a renovation business as I just like getting mucky!”

And a message to her 23,700 followers on X, formerly known as Twitter, suggested that she offered different services on her page. She explained: “Join me [on fanvue] to chat, about anything, it’s not all about sexy pics it’s more than that.
“I’m here for anyone, don’t ever feel alone I’m here. In a real way xxxx join if you want and I will never let you feel alone xxx.”
Debee, who became a mum at the turn of the century, now lives on the Isle of Man with her husband Johnny Mills. But her quiet island life is far removed from her heady Page 3 party days.
She was just 16-years-old when her snaps were first printed, resulting in her having to leave Coventry’s King Henry VIII public school. And bizarrely, it was her mum who took her to a glamour photographer studio when she was 15 to kickstart her career.
Debee was later quoted in CoventryLive as saying: “I will never know why on earth she took me to that sort of place. I was 15, I didn’t understand.” She was also once asked to pose topless with her mum for an American magazine.
And recalling another uncomfortable experience, she said: “One time I was there for a publicity shot and I was given a glass of Champagne and introduced to a man, a nightclub owner, and told to take my clothes off. They turned the lights off and I ran out.”
Debee later reconciled with her mum and as for whether she regretted being in the glamour industry, she told the Sunday Mercury: “There are no regrets. But I do sometimes look back and think ‘why on earth did my parents allow me to do that’?”
Debee also seemed bewildered as to why millions of men were infatuated by her. She said: “I’ve never considered myself beautiful. In that first Sun Page Three I look awful. I had curly brown hair.”
After being propelled into a world of glitz and glamour, the young model was often invited to A-list parties. She was also linked to many famous names including gangster Reggie Kray and Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt.
But Debee retired from the glamour industry in 1996 and has lived her life in private ever since. She went on to be a restaurant owner.
And remembering the past, she said: “Hardly a day went by when I wasn’t in the paper. But it was in the days when Page 3 was at its height, then it became supermodels, now it’s reality stars.”
Fans of Debee still laud over her to this day. Under a recent post on Instagram, where she described herself as an agony aunt, a follower called Shaun said: “I remember when you had your first topless pic taken… and it was with your mum. Wish I could find that beaut. I bet your dad nearly had a heart attack.”
Another wrote: “Debee is still as beautiful as ever, but that’s obvious. She’s also really kind and lovely to talk to if you need to chat.”
A third said: “Hi Debee, I remember when you were posing in Mayfair and Penthouse. You were as thin as you are now but you were gorgeous all the same.”
