Queen Letizia of Spain looked effortlessly chic as she attended the National Innovation and Design Awards in Aviles on Monday. 

The European monarch, 50, was suitably smart in a navy blazer embellished with subtle thin grey stripes. 

Letizia wore matching pants which reached the top of her ankles, leaving enough room to showcase her brown stilettos. 

Across her thin and stylish figure, the Spanish queen donned a navy belt with a knot front. 

And to complement her look, Letizia carried a large brown purse with a silver zip.

Letizia donned silver earrings behind her long silky brown hair, which fell below her shoulders.

And along with a subtle base of make up, Letiza was pictured wearing a slick of nude lipstick. 

King Felipe VI, who joined Letizia at the event, also looked appropriately dapper in his smart suit. 

The European king wore a grey blazer and pants with fine stripes, and fastened his light blue shirt with a floral tie.

The National Innovation and Design Awards is a prestigious event which celebrates individuals and businesses promoting original ideas. 

The news comes after Letizia looked sensational in an all-white outfit with checked trim around the collar as she arrived at a specialist foundation in Africa last week.

The Queen, 50, wore a disposable face mask and covered up her pristine uniform with blue overalls while visiting the Ngana Zanza Foundation in Angola.

Letizia donned gold hooped earrings behind her long silky brown hair, which fell below her shoulders.

The news comes as she and her husband King Felipe attended a meeting with the President of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira.

The new photos show the European monarch changing into a glamorous red dress as she held her bright red chromatic handbag.

Letizia was pictured with her husband King Felipe, who dazzled in a long pinstriped suit.

Walking down the red carpet, the monarch donned a white shirt, spotty blue tie and black buckled shoes.

The royal couple then posed for the cameras with President of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira.

Carolina looked stunning in the heat with a loose fitting ankle length pink dress with flowing sleeves.
