Vogue, Anna Wintour Will No Longer Work With Kanye West

Kanye West’s controversial behavior is catching up to him, as the rapper has lost a number of partnerships recently, including with Vogue. The world-famous magazine reportedly has no plans to work with Ye in the future.

A representative for Vogue exclusively told Page Six that neither the magazine nor its editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, plan to work with Kanye moving forward.

A source says that Anna made the call following Kanye’s antisemitic comments. “Anna has had enough,” they explained. “She has made it very clear inside Vogue that Kanye is no longer part of the inner circle.”

While it’s unclear what this means, it’s likely that Kanye will not be featured on Vogue’s cover (he was famously photographed with his then-wife Kim Kardashian and infant daughter North in 2014 for the magazine). It’s also suspected he’ll be excluded from the MET Gala in the future.

However, it’s unknown if Vogue will stop covering Ye’s brands, such as if they’ll stop publishing images from his fashion shows.

Kanye has had a close relationship to the staff at Vogue over the years, so the magazine’s decision to cut ties with him is a testament to the seriousness of his recent antics. Anna Wintour has been a long-time friend of Kanye. She first invited him to the MET Gala in 2009, and was even seen promoting his new Yeezy sunglasses line last month.

It was reported that Anna even tried to mend the professional relationship after Kanye mocked one of Vogue’s editors, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, after she called him out for wearing a White Lives Matter shirt at A Yeezy fashion show in Paris.

Page Six says Anna sent her close friend Baz Luhrmann to film a reconciliation between ye and Gabriella, though it did little to help.

Vogue isn’t the only partnership Kanye has recently lost. Last week, Balenciaga revealed they won’t work with him again. “Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist,” a representative for the fashion house stated.

Adidas also announced it was reviewing its long-time partnership with Kanye, though they’ve yet to officially end the billion-dollar collaboration (which has gotten the brand a lot of criticism).

Ye was recently locked out of Twitter and Instagram for his offensive comments. But with reports that he’s buying Parler, a conservative social media platform, Kanye may be back on the Internet sooner than later.
