    Samsung unveiled its all-new Galaxy Watch 6 smartwatch series on July 26th at the latest Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul, South Korea. Galaxy Watch  6 arrives in two flavours: the Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic. Both of these new wearables landed on August 11, but there are some incredible preorder deals.

    The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic returns the fan-favourite spinning bezel to the wearable range, which lets users scroll through menus by twisting the bezel like a diver’s watch.     Prices start from £289 for the Galaxy Watch 6, which includes a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection, but you’ll need your smartphone in your pocket to make and receive calls. If you want to add 4G LTE to send and receive texts without a phone nearby, it’ll cost £339.

    The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is slightly more expensive and comes in different screen sizes – thanks to the return of the bezel – and comes in 43mm and 47mm sizes.

    The small size – the 43mm – comes in £369 for the Bluetooth one while it will cost £419 for the Bluetooth and 4G-enabled watch. If you want to go all out, the 47mm Classic watch costs £399 as standard while it costs £459 for the Bluetooth and 4G version.

    Galaxy Watch 6 Classic: What you need to know

    The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic features a sapphire crystal watch face with a Super AMOLED screen so you can see everything crystal clear. This year, Samsung claims the screen is 20 per cent bigger and 30 per cent slimmer. 

    It also IP68 water resistant so you don’t need to worry about the elements harming your new and shiny watch. 

    Little is known about the battery life so far but it does have a 425 mAh, non-removable battery which is said to provide 30 hours of usage with Always On display and 40 hours without it. 

    They are powered by the Exynos W930 Dual Core 1.4Ghz processor and come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

    They also feature Samsung Wallet so you can wirelessly pay with your credit card on your wrist.

    They also has all the handy dandy features you have come to love with Samsung watches including skin temperatures sensors, camera controller if you own a Samsung phone and the BIA sensor which helps monitor your body composition including your skeletal muscle, fat mass and body fat percentage.

    During its Unpacked event, Samsung leaned heavily on the sleep coaching that the watches provide. According to Samsung, the watches will monitor your nightly sleep stage, sleep score and sleep consistency to improve your sleep. 

    It also features a built-in PPG sensor that measures heart rate and heart rhythm while you wear your Galaxy Watch 6, and will alert you if your heart rate and your heart rate zones to see if it is too high or too low. 

    Of course, the watch also features all the brilliant fitness features you’ve come to expect from Samsung watches and tracks your movements for over 90 workouts, including indoor swimming and yoga. 

    Is the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic worth buying?

    If you’re an Android user and you want to track your fitness, sleep and other activities during the day, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is one of the best choices on the market.

    Apple Watch may be the go-to device for iOS users but if you’re in the Android ecosystem, the Galaxy Watch 6 Class is definitely one to consider.

    Compared to the previous Galaxy watches, it features longer battery life and the largest screen that has ever been on a Galaxy watch as it now stretches to 47mm.

    The biggest and best thing about the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is the return of the rotating bezel that was absent on the Watch 5 and hasn’t been seen since the Watch 4.
