A 51-year-old disabled man says he has had no choice but to sell some of his late wife's beloved possessions to pay the bills, as the cost of living crisis continues to bite.
Jason Alcock, who has autism, ADHD and bipolar disorder, says he is no longer able to cover the essentials with his severe disability payments from the government.

Instead, he has had to sell £8000 worth of possessions to stay afloat.
This includes his late wife Paola's collection of Star Wars memorabilia and gadgets, which he says he "would have loved to have saved" after she died of leukaemia in 2018.
Jason told PA: "Paola had a Star Wars collection, she used to do a lot of crafts. All those kinds of things, her old phones and tablets and everything like that, that's all been sold.
"A lot of the things I would have loved to have saved—they meant something to me—have all been sold. I'm at the point now that I've got nothing else to sell."
He added: "Ever since (Paola died) there hasn't been a month that's gone by where I haven't had to top my money up by selling something in the house. I shouldn't be doing that."

Jason's disability means he finds it hard to leave the house and instead he relies on technology and virtual reality to communicate with the outside world.
He said that the cost-of-living crisis has made his life harder and that he is now concerned about the winter with fuel bills set to go up in October.
Jason called for a 'revamping' of the disability system to support disabled people through the cost-of-living crisis, and said: "Being disabled and dealing with all of this… no disabled person ever gets a free ride."
