PS5 console stock boost as Sony drastically expands Playstation Direct offerings

If you've spent years hankering for a Playstation 5 and never been able to get hold of one, your luck might finally have changed.

Black Friday is just around the corner, and many retailers from Currys to Amazon are likely to be stocking up on PS5 consoles ahead of Christmas.

However, Sony themselves have taken the plunge early by launching a major PS5 console stock update on the official Playstation store.

The gaming giant is selling bundles of its popular next-gen console along with some of the platform's best exclusive titles.

While the standalone console has quickly gone out of stock, there's still a bundle offer which includes the brand-new God of War: Ragnarok for £539.99.

Or, for shooter fans, you can nab the PS5 with Modern Warfare II for the same price.

Both bundles include one DualSense controller, so you might want to chuck an extra controller in your basket so you can play with friends and family from the couch.

Don't get any bright ideas about cashing in on the restock though—Sony has limited each customer to two consoles per purchase in a bid to prevent touts reselling them at insanely inflated prices.

God of War: Ragnarok was only released last week and is one of the PS5's biggest exclusive titles yet.

The follow-up to the 2018 God of War reboot sees players return to the Nine Realms with hero Kratos and his son Atreus.

Our reviewer said the game has "excellent script writing, very comparable to the finest work Naughty Dog has to offer with its The Last of Us games".

God of War: Ragnarok has also been praised for its blockbuster brawling action, so it might be the perfect choice for a PS5 bundle if you choose to hit up Playstation Direct this week.
