One of the most-requested Twitter features of all time is about to become reality.
Everyone's favourite blue bird app is about to start letting certain users edit their posts and erase all evidence of them being wrong or daft.
Twitter has confirmed that it is internally testing an Edit Tweet feature which will enable users to edit the text of their posts 'a few times' within a 30-minute window.

The firm will begin rolling out the tool to subscribers of its Twitter Blue service, which is a paid wing of the app. It's unclear whether it will be further expanded to free users of the platform.
The feature was first announced earlier this year after prominent users such as Elon Musk called for its inclusion on the app, although Twitter says its decision was not influenced by Musk himself.
In a blog post, the company said the feature will remain in testing with a few users while it analyses its performance.
Twitter said: "Like any new feature, we're intentionally testing Edit Tweet with a smaller group to help us incorporate feedback while identifying and resolving potential issues.
"This includes how people might misuse the feature. You can never be too careful."

"Later this month, we'll be expanding Edit Tweet access to Twitter Blue subscribers. […] The test will be localised to a single country at first and expand as we learn and observe how people use Edit Tweet."
It's not clear which country it will be available in first, but as Twitter Blue is only available in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, it's unlikely to be the UK.
However, Twitter did confirm that, like Facebook, its editing tool will allow other users to view the 'editing history' of a post to see exactly what someone has changed.
