Coronation Street pictures for next week confirm another series of unmissable outings for the ITV soap, with Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) in danger while Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) makes the mother of all discoveries.

Yes, that means what you think it means!

Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) receives a text from Tyrone, who informs her that it’s the girls’ show day is today and that they’d all love it if she could attend.

Cassie (Claire Sweeney), having got wind of the text, encourages her to mum to go, commenting that she’s been clean for weeks and therefore can be left on her own. Evelyn refuses but Cassie subsequently vanishes, showing up at the Bistro, where Tyrone recognises her.

Upon realising what’s transpired, Evelyn races to the bistro, arriving just in time to hear Cassie tell Tyrone that she’s his mum!

Elsewhere on the street, Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) is up to no good, on a mission to retrieve his tie pin from Lou, who has reported the matter to the police. But after obtaining entry to her hotel room, the killer is left stunned when he hears someone at the bedroom door.

Oh dear!

Lauren, meanwhile, is delighted after a good day at the cafe, relaying her success to Max Turner (Paddy Bever), who is genuinely thrilled for her.

Things, however, prove awkward when Laurel misreads the signals, leaning in for a kiss.

Embarrassed, she storms off. Roy Cropper (David Neilson) offers her some advice and a bed for the night, but Lauren subsequently offers to sleep with Roy in a bid to show her gratitude.

Coronation Street airs these scenes between Monday August 7 and Friday August 11 at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
