All the Strictly ladies! Amy Dowden reunites with Dianne and Janette at Pride of Britain

Amy Dowden reunited with her fellowStrictly Come Dancing professional dancers as they headed to thePride of Britain Awards in London on Sunday 8 October.

Amy,who revealed that she'd been diagnosed with Grade 3 breast cancer in May this year, joined familiar faces from the show’s past and present and she accompaniedJanette Manrara,Dianne Buswell andAljaž Škorjanec at the star-studded event.

For the occasion,Amy looked sensational as she wore a stunning pink dress with an oversized ribboned one-shoulder detail – an outfit likely to be a meaningful choice given that October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Meanwhile, the 33 year old professional dancer also opted to go wig-free, just weeks aftersharing an emotional video which saw her friends and family shave her head after experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy treatment.

Prior to heading to the red carpet, Amy joined Dianne and Janette and the Strictly trio posed for an adorable picture in their stunning evening gowns.

Like Amy, Janette looked incredible in a pink strapless gown which featured various shades of the hue.


Dianne on the other hand kept things simple and paired her vibrant red hair with a pale yellow fitted dress which featured a thigh split detail.

Captioning the snap, Janette added a pink heart and wrote: “#PrideOfBritain (She absolutely is [pink bow emoji)]”.

The Strictly outing comes one day after Amy surprised viewers of the show whenshe appeared on the BBC One programme to read the voting terms and conditions.

Presenter Claudia Winkleman Amy, who wore a floor-length white sequin gown, with Amy then telling viewers: “I am halfway through treatment for chemo, and I can't wait to be back with you all soon.”

Following her stint on the show, Amy thanked TV viewers for their support and described the "pure joy" she felt at being back after being forced to pull out this year due to her diagnosis.

Taking to Instagram, the dancer said: "There are no words to describe the pure joy and happiness I felt last night being back with my @bbcstrictly family. It is their love and support that gave me the courage to decide last minute to step out and brave the bald."

She continued: "Not saying it was easy and I still miss my long hair dearly but gosh did it feel liberating and it’s breast cancer awareness month which gave me that extra push to do it."
