A Place in the Sun host Ben Hillman was left pleading 'oh, come on' with guests after he struggled to please them with any of his property options.
The Channel 4 presenter had been tasked with trying to find the ideal home for buyers Claire and Alan — which proved to be impossible. They hoped to find a three-bedroom holiday home where they could spend plenty of time with their daughter, Emma, her fiancé Jamie, and their two young grandchildren.
But despite their hefty budget of £290,000 for a dream holiday home in Portugal, the couple found fault with every property shown to them. The couple's daughter and her husband were also investing in the property so the right place would require "compromise" from both parties.

The married couple didn't like either the first or the second property and decided that neither of them were contenders — leaving host Ben concerned after the "shaky start".
The third property was a two bedroom apartment with scope to make it into four bedrooms, with three and a half bathrooms. It also had a communal pool and a private garden.
Ben was hoping they would have some positive feedback on the home as it ticked every box in their brief. However, the couple remained unimpressed as Claire dubbed it "food for thought".
An exasperated Ben responded to Claire's lukewarm reaction with: "Oh come on Claire. It's more than food for thought."
In the end, none of the properties met the couple's expectations, leaving Claire feeling "disappointed". As the trio discussed the final decision after all the house tours, Ben pointed out how difficult it had been to find them a place that met their requirements as well as Jamie and Emma's.
Ben said: "This has been the thing all the way through this search, hasn't it? That I've never quite 'had it'. I've had to fulfil two briefs essentially, in one."
To which, Alan replied: "You set us a good problem here because property three was probably our preferred option as a family house."
"If I'm honest, a little bit disappointed. I think that we can still look at other areas…" Claire replied. But she wasn't the only one left disappointed with the outcome.
Concluding the show, Ben said: "It is hugely disappointing that I haven't been able to — I mean it is the tallest brief I think I've ever had to be fair — but it's disappointing that we haven't nailed it."
A Place in the Sun airs weekdays from 4pm on Channel 4.
