THE finale of Bake Off: The Professionals has now been and gone, with the winners being crowned on Tuesday night.

Judges Cherish Finden and Benoit Blin had the task of picking a winning pair for the Channel 4 spin-off show, and viewers are all saying the same thing.

Hosts Liam Charles and Stacey Solomon welcomed three pairs of professional bakers back to the show, as they battled it out for the ultimate title.

It was Nathan and Kevin, Jemima and Zack, and I Shan and Jojo who had made it to the final.

After a tough few rounds which resulted in some amazing creations, the judges announced that it was Frenchmen Nathan and Kevin who took the win.

For the episode's Showstopper, contestants were tasked with creating a huge banquet feeding 80 people, themed for a day at the races.

Cherish told the bakers she wanted something "opulent and lavish", and the piece had to include both sugar and chocolate work, as well as a show-stopping, edible centre-piece.

Nathan and Kevin chose to do an incredible four-tier profiterole tower for their centre-piece, and the judges said their chocolate mousse was "to die for".

As the pair were chosen as the series' winners, fans took to Twitter to discuss.

One wrote: "Well Done Nathan & Kevin! πŸ† Brilliant from the start and throughout! πŸ‘πŸ‘A great final!"
