Speaking about the return on the programme, Marvin and Rochelle said: “We are so excited to be back with our SEVENTH series! We have so much fun hosting the show together, and we’re excited to see what this next series will bring.

"We’re looking forward to more Saturday night fun that will have you shouting the answers at your TV!”

Karen Smith the Executive Producer of The Hit List, added: “It is truly amazing to have The Hit List recommissioned for its seventh series. I hope that viewers will enjoy the great music selection that will transform their living rooms into a house party!”

Across three rounds, they are narrowed down to just one pair who then take on the final 'board' of songs.

They must answer the names of ten songs as quickly as possible before the £10,000 drains away, failure to do so can see participants walk away penniless.

The new series will debut next year on BBC One.

It is Marvin and Rochelle's first TV job as a couple since their guest stints on This Morning between 2013 and 2015.

Whilst Rochelle still co-hosts the daytime show on a stand-in basis, Marvin has cut back on appearing.

The couple ventured into the world of TV after taking a step back from the pop industry.

Marvin also enjoyed a long-running spell at Capital FM whilst Rochelle put her hand to co-hosting ITV's Ninja Warrior UK.
