BBC Breakfast in another presenter shake-up as Jon Kay missing from studio | The Sun

BBC Breakfast faced another presenter shake-up today as Jon Kay was missing from the studio.

The 52-year-old journalist normally presents the show alongside Sally Nugent every Monday to Wednesday.

While Jon was on the BBC Breakfast sofa for the first two days this week, he was missing when the show started today.

Instead, Sally was joined by Ben Thompson, who often acts as a stand in presenter for the male hosts.

Jon's absence comes after a week of presenter shake ups last week.

Sally was missing from the show at the start of the week, while Naga Munchetty was nowhere to be seen in her usual Thursday to Sunday slots.

Ben had plenty to get stuck into during his time co-hosting today's show, including Matt Hancock's decision to sign up for I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and a debate about cyclists and car drivers.

He also had the chance to chat to Happy Mondays star Bez, and at one point, Sally said: "Where are your maracas? I thought you'd have them with you?"

Bez replied: "I have, but I keep them in my trousers."

As Ben and Sally laughed, viewers were also in hysterics at the cheeky star, with one writing: "Brilliant".
