BBC Breakfasts Naga Munchetty speaking to producers as she fumes at co-host

Naga Munchetty was absolutely gutted that her co-host Ben Thompson got to sit next to a famous dog on the red sofa instead of her.

And she was so upset that she jokingly threatened to speak to her "director" about her placement on the famous red sofa.

Ben and Naga hosted BBC Breakfast on Friday morning (July 28), but they ended up squabbling on live TV over fire investigation dog Reqs.

It all started because Naga wanted to sit next to Reqs, one of the UK's longest-serving fire investigation dogs, who is now retiring after 10 years of service.,

Reqs, who has worked for Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, is fully trained to sniff out the causes of fires and is specially trained to detect ignitable liquids such as petrol.

Speaking to his handler Nikki Harvey, a firefighter, Naga said: "I'm already upset that he's not on my side of the sofa. He's so charming."

Ben was feeling Brave when he replied: "Reqs chose which side he wanted to be on."

Naga immediately cut him off, saying: "He did not, he did not. That was our director and I'll be having words with her later."

Naga, Ben and Nikki couldn't help giggling as Reqs stole the show, looking rather comfortable as he stretched out on the sofa.
