BBC star blasts NTAs with foul-mouthed rant after popular show 'robbed' of win | The Sun

A BBC star blasted the NTAs with a rant on social media after a popular British show was 'robbed' of the comedy prize.

Kiell Smith-Bynoe, 34, was left disappointed when Ghosts lost out to spin-off show Young Sheldon at the annual award ceremony.

The BBC sitcom about spirits haunting a historical country house was one of the fan favourites to win the gong.

Kiell, who plays central character Mike Cooper, shared his outrage online when the comedy award winner was announced.

He wrote: "Wait what. I thought we’d lose to Ted Lasso not a f**kin spin off."

The star followed up by posting a photo of Young Sheldon, adding: "Attenzione pickpocket!!"

Fans of the ghostly sitcom agreed with the leading man, and joined him in hitting out at the decision.

One person wrote: "I’m going to go to bed and hope that when I wake up it was all a bad dream. Because this is an abomination."

Another shared: "Unacceptable result. Gutted for you all."

One sweet fan told the actor: "The fans are gutted too! We’d have accepted Ted Lasso as well but not Young Sheldon! Sending our love to all the cast & crew x"
