EastEnders drops hint about Christmas murder victim with 'telling comment' | The Sun

MANY theories regarding the upcoming Christmas whodunnit have been circulating among fans for several months.

However, eagle-eyed EastEnders viewers spotted a clue during last night's trip to Walford which may have given it away.

One man is due to meet a horrific demise in December, 2023, with six of the Square's most iconic ladies being involved in the murder mystery.

The upcoming storyline was teased in a sinister flashforward scene in which viewers spotted a dead man at the foot of the Vic's Christmas tree.

Suki Panesar, played by Balvinder Sopal is one of the leading women set to be embroiled in the whodunnit and, due to her rocky history with her husband, Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) is at the top of the list of potential victims.

The only clue giving away the identity of the mystery victim were cufflinks shown as Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) approached the man to try and find a pulse.

But a comment heard during last night's instalment of the BBC One soap seems to have confirmed who will die and who could kill them.

It all started when Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) became determined to save the family business and sought a partner in the form of Nish.

He invited both him and his wife Suki to try his food and, as they discussed possibilities, Ian was quizzed by Nish about what he could bring to the table.

Ian responded: "30 plus years of restaurant experience. And I would hope my culinary prowess speaks for itself."

But as he tried to convince Nish, Suki reminded Ian of their last business interaction which he branded as a "misunderstanding."

Suki laughed it off but this prompted Nish to give him a stern warning.

"I can’t afford to get into bed with someone who’s likely to stab me in the back", he said to which Ian replied with: "You shouldn’t have married her then."

Suki followed up with a telling look – could she be plotting to get rid of Nish once and for all?

Earlier this year, the businesswoman made plans to flee Albert Square with her lover Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).

But these were thwarted when she was found unconscious at the bottom of her staircase, prompting many to believe controlling and abusive Nish pushed her in a heated moment.

As mentioned above, Nish is one of the main characters believed to be the unknown man set to be killed off during the festive season.

This was reinforced when the cufflinks made an appearance during Rocky Cotton's stag do and they were shown belonging to Nish.

"I am aware that Nish is the number one contender to die at Christmas. I think the main clue is to follow the cufflinks", Navin Chowdhry recently told The Mirror.

"There's some stuff we filmed recently about the cufflinks so look out for that and follow the cufflinks."

Nish's cufflinks have ended up with Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) following Rocky's poker game, putting him on the list of potential victims.
