Strictly Come Dancing duo Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola have been surrounded by romance rumours in recent weeks, and it appears that Vito, 31, may have just confirmed these to be true.

Following a day of rehearsals for Saturday's Strictly, Vito shared a black-and-white photo of himself looking rather tired, to which he added the text: "Just finished another day of rehearsal!!!

"Well done to my baby @ellielouiseleach" he finished, with some taking the term of endearment to mean a confirmation of the the rumoured romance.

Vito returned to Instagram the next morning to share a video of himself and Ellie, 22, during rehearsals, in which they looked rather cosy while discussing croissants and coffees.

It comes just a few days after former Strictly star Amanda Abbington, who recently quit the show, seemingly confirmed that the dance partners are now dating.

After Ellie posted a sweet picture of herself and Vito on the show, a comment Amanda left led fans to believe they're now an item.

Ellie wrote: "Thank you, thank you, thank you. What a magical night, we are so grateful for all of your support and we're soooo happy to be through to another week on that strictly dance floor," as friends and fans rushed to congratulate them in the comments.

Amanda wrote under the Instagram snap: "Stunning. So proud of the both of you. You are the most beautiful couple!"

It comes after the pair got tongues wagging during a recent appearance on Strictly companion show It Takes Two when they sported matching outfits.

The talented pair both wore black turtle-neck jumpers, something which did not escape the notice of eagle-eyed viewers at home, with some taking to social media to comment on the matching attire.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one wrote: "Think Ellie & Vito must have texted each other. More or less dressed the same #Ittakestwo #Strictly."

"Ellie and Vito in their adorable matching outfits again #Strictly #ITT" observed another viewer.

And a third added: "Ellie and Vito keep turning up to #ItTakesTwo in the same clothes. I'm expecting the paparazzi shot of them kissing any day now."

This isn't the first time Ellie and Vito have been spotted in matching outfits, with a previous instalment of It Takes Two seeing them both don denim boiler suits.

Ellie and Vito's undeniable chemistry has also caught the eye of body language expert Darren Stanton, who has suggested that the pair have an "intense connection" that could help them reach the Strictly final.
