Although Blue Bloods returned to CBS last week with season 13, fans who were watching the show from the start spotted a major blunder. Viewers then exposed the grammatical error from season two.

Blue Bloods is a hit procedural drama which followed the personal and professional lives of Frank Reagan (played by Tom Selleck) and his family.

As the New York City police commissioner, his adult children followed in his footsteps and also worked in law enforcement

His only daughter Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) is an assistant district attorney with hopes of eventually becoming district attorney.

Frank’s eldest son Danny Reagan (Donny Wahlberg) is a detective at the NYPD.

During the most recent episode, his youngest son James Reagan (Will Estes) transferred from the NYPD as a sergeant to a field intelligence sergeant.

Throughout the series, each episode would follow a different character depending on the case or investigation.

The blunder was spotted in the season two episode titled The Uniform, which followed Danny and detective Jackie Curatola (Jennifer Esposito).

They were called to a murder scene in a diner after witnesses said a man who appeared to be a police officer shot an armed man and fled the scene.

It was revealed the shooter Mike was an auxiliary police officer, Mike Galantis (Tom Pelphrey) had panicked and fled.

As Danny and Jackie investigated they were led to Mike’s apartment where they handcuffed him, but a viewer was distracted by a grammatical error on one of his posters.

The fan took to MovieMistakes.com where they shared a photo of it and exposed the blunder.

Their submission read: “While handcuffing an auxiliary officer in his apartment, there is a poster on the wall reading, ‘attention military personal…’

“Personal is misused. It should read ‘attention military personnel.’”

Although the error proved to be a distraction for some viewers, others took no notice and continued watching to see if Danny and Jackie could solve the bizarre case.

The detectives discovered the diner’s owner Connie (Tom Mardirosian) was missing and as they ransacked his home they found a crate of stolen guns.

Viewers learned Connie had been taking advantage of Mike, who was prepared to take the fall for the shooting.

It turned out Connie had been trafficking weapons from his diner, which Mike was suspicious of but couldn’t prove.

After being prompted by Danny to think like a cop, Mike provided the information and was proven to be correct.

Although he wanted to become an officer he continuously failed the tests, with Danny’s encouragement he took the police exam again and passed.

Blue Bloods season 13 continues Sundays on CBS. A UK release date has yet to be announced.
