Bosch: Legacy season two will include a moment that’s never happened before in the Michael Connelly drama.

The Amazon Prime Video and Amazon FreeVee series is returning for season two, having been given the green light even before the first outing made its debut in 2022.

Reprising his role as Harry Bosch, actor Titus Welliver is back to portray the retired homicide detective turned private investigator for season two.

Subscribers were stunned by the season one finale cliffhanger which saw Bosch’s daughter Maddie (played by Madison Lintz) kidnapped by a masked assailant.

The upcoming series will pick up where the story left off and fans should be prepared to get the tissues out.

Opening up to Express.co.uk about the memorable moments of season two, author and executive producer Michael Connelly talked of a key scene that had everyone on set in tears.

“I don’t know if this might be giving too much away but in episode one, you see Harry Bosch cry and that hasn’t happened before”, Connelly said.

“And it is such an emotional scene and I just remember there was a lot of quietness when Titus did that scene.

“The performance, in my opinion, is magnificent and it was like the pebble into a stream, these rings of emotion went all through the crew and everyone standing on the other side of the camera.”

What made the filming of this scene even more surprisingly emotional was the fact Welliver had improvised crying, catching those around him off guard.

Connelly continued: “It was pretty amazing to see and I’m always going to remember that and from this season, that one really stands out.

“This was nine seasons into him playing that character and to have that come forth, it wasn’t in the script ‘Harry Bosch starts crying”, it was just something he did. It was pretty amazing.”

Thankfully, there isn’t too long before fans get to watch the moment for themselves.
