Anton Du Beke praises Simon Cowell for snapping up Bruno Tonioli
Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli has reportedly secured a pay rise to get him to sign up for the next series of Britain’s Got Talent.
It comes after his fellow judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon allegedly threatened to leave the show 10 months ago when they believed Bruno would get a bigger pay packet than them.
However, Simon Cowell and Britain’s Got Talent bosses reportedly ensured them Bruno was on a “much lower figure than his female colleagues”, The Sun claims.
That, however, might not be the case now, with a source claiming: “The moment Amanda and Alesha get wind of this they will be asking some serious questions of the execs on the show.
“It’s nothing personal aimed at Bruno, both of his fellow judges love him and feel he’s fitted in brilliantly, and they know the show’s bosses aren’t about to give him a higher wage than them.”
While Bruno is known to both Strictly Come Dancing fans and Dancing With The Stars viewers, they continued to The Sun: “It’s still not a good look for a man to walk on to BGT and in his first year be almost level-pegging with two women who’ve been a part of the fabric of the show for more than a decade.”
Amanda has been on Britain’s Got Talent for the past 14 years whereas Alesha has clocked up 11 years on the show.
The women have signed three-year contracts with Britain’s Got Talent, but Bruno’s deal is reviewed annually.

Last month, Alan Carr revealed how he confronted Simon after he missed out on the opportunity of being a Britain’s Got Talent judge.
He told Daily Mail: “Amanda Holden, the next week, said, ‘Alan, I’m having a party,’ I went, ‘Great. Love it.

“I go through the door and oh great, Simon’s in there. Oh s***. So, as I always do, with my best humour I went over there and said, ‘My wrist has been hurting all weekend practising that bl**dy buzzer and you went for Bruno.'”
Despite missing out on a Britain’s Got Talent role, Alan secured a judging position on the ITV show Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream earlier this year.
The star search series is hunting for the new leads of the ABBA musical Mamma Mia! on London’s West End.
Britain’s Got Talent episodes are available to watch on ITVX.
