CASUALTY actress Amanda Henderson has broken her silence after her character was killed off in the latest episode.

Casualty fans were left in tears at Robyn Miller's emotional departure scenes last night.


The heartbreaking episode saw staff nurse Robyn pass away after ending up in a serious car accident.

Actress Amanda – who has starred in the BBC show for 10 years – has now taken to her Instagram page to comment.

She uploaded a snap showing her final show clapper board on which she had written: "End of an era!"

It had an image of her character's face glued on and, in the caption, she wrote: "10 years of you Robyn!

Fans were quick to comment with one writing: "Can’t believe we’re saying goodbye to one of my all time favourite characters. I’ve been watching this show ever since I was little.. when you joined I was 13 years old… I’m now 23 I genuinely feel like I’ve grown with your character! So you could say I’m in bits watching you and her go!

"You was amazing Amanda, and you’ve portrayed Robyn exceptionally all these years!"

Another put: "What the hell do we call you now then? “Amanda from casualty?"

A third then wrote: "That was a tearjerker and a half. The call to Charlie, Beautiful work by you all. You'll be missed Amanda x"

Saturday night's episode left viewers on the edge of their seats.

As Robyn was brought into the ED, the rest of the staff were battling with an influx of patients and lack of resources which meant a long wait to get her into theatre.

In a devastating blow the character sadly didn't make it and many fans rushed to Twitter to have their say.

One wrote: "Heartbreaking end for such a fantastic character really gonna miss Robyn."

It wasn't only Robyn that fans had to say goodbye to on Saturday night.

After breaking down over the pressures of the ED and Robyn's death, David Hyde [Jason Durr] and Marty Kirkby [Shaheen Jafargholi] both decided to quit.
