This Morning star Cat Deeley confirmed it was her last day on the ITV show after fans begged her to be made permanent.

The TV star, 47, made her official debut on Monday (November 13), stepping in as a presenter alongside Rylan Clark. Following Holly Willoughby's departure after 14 years, ITV bosses are continuing to look for a full-time replacement.

During the latest instalment (November 15) of the programme, Cat joined forces with Craig Doyle, who she said was "finishing her off" as it was her final day hosting. After giving her 52-year-old co-star a hug and kiss on the cheek, the mum-of-two quipped: "It's kind of my last day today. You're finishing me off.

"That's it I'm done. I'm done. I'm going home and I'm taking my mug with me." It's likely fans won't be pleased with the news as Cat was an immediate hit with viewers after her first show with Rylan, 35.

As the daytime programme opened, Cat joked that she couldn’t believe the “naughtiest people in television” were live on ITV together. Laughing, Rylan agreed: “Now this is officially the end… this is how it ends. With us two!”

“It kind of is!” agreed Cat. “But let’s go down in like, a storm.” “We will, we will!” Rylan agreed.

As the show got underway, viewers were quick to gush over Cat and Rylan's chemistry, with one writing: "Think This Morning have finally found their permanent presenters. Loved watching these two together – Rylan and Cat actually made the show worth watching throughout".

A second user agreed, adding: "Cat Deeley and Rylan should be the permanent hosts for This Morning!" The pair then returned for Tuesday's edition of the show (November 14).

After their second stint together, fans returned to social media and continued to shower them with praise. "Finally, you have got it right!!!" exclaimed one viewer.

Another echoed: "An enjoyable morning with Rylan and Cat Deeley. I'm sure so many will be happy at this presenting combo & now the dust will settle & we can enjoy the programme again."
