It appears the trouble isn’t over yet for Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) in Coronation Street.

The character has been focused on helping Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) attempt to save the pub recently but prior to that, she was involved in a complex storyline involving Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott).

After Ryan’s acid attack, he thought he had developed a relationship with a woman called Crystal.

He was then utterly devastated to discover Daisy was behind the account all along. Daisy argued that she was only doing it to bring Ryan some comfort and a distraction, but he was certain their friendship had been destroyed because of what she had done.

While Daisy turns to moving in with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) and young Bertie, Ryan is continuing to spiral.

As well as taking to injecting himself with steroids, Ryan is also set to join an OnlyFans style website, sending intimate videos and images to people in exchange for money.

With Charlotte Jordan confirming that Daisy will find out about Ryan’s venture into the dark side of social media, she’s been speaking about what’s ahead for the characters:

‘I just don’t know how healthy Daisy and Ryan’s relationship is – given their history, and given the fact that she had no romantic intentions towards him before the acid attack’, she told Digital Spy.

‘Now because she feels responsible for him and it’s a bit of trauma bonding, I don’t know how much longevity that’s really got. I hope fans can forgive her for what she does!

‘Daisy is getting very confused about her feelings’, she said.

‘She wasn’t looking for romantic feelings and she didn’t intend for it to happen.

‘She’s got more than platonic feelings for him, but it doesn’t change her feelings for Daniel. She’s just very confused.’

Reflecting on Daisy finding out about Ryan’s OnlyFans account, Charlotte said: ‘We’ve been filming Daisy finding out about Ryan and his Only Fans storyline – and how far he’s gone on the dark web with that.

‘She will be very concerned for him. Daisy feels very responsible for Ryan.

‘Every time she looks at him, she’s reminded of what was meant for her, so she’s fully invested in his recovery and she’ll just want to make sure that he’s okay.’

Elsewhere, as Ryan’s steroid addiction continues to get a tighter grip on his life, he’s set to unleash his anger towards Carla Connor (Alison King) soon, who tries to tell Ryan to ignore a harsh comment on one of his social media posts.
