CORONATION Street fans have been left convinced that one cobbles kid is about to be hit with a tragic health storyline.
Viewers of the ITV soap opera saw how Chesney's son, Joseph Brown, was kept off school by his step-mum Gemma Winter after complaining of feeling ill.
It has left worry among fans that he may be set up for a devastating health storyline as his illness went undefined during the episode.
Having complained of a pesky headache and unusual tiredness, Gemma was left concerened that he was more under the weather than just a regualr cold.
Having shown no signs of improvement throughout the morning as he attempted to fall asleep on the sofa, Gemma made the decision to book him a GP appointment.
Gemma was left fuming when the doctor's surgery could not find a slot for Joseph until next week as she began to panic as she said down the phone that she wasn't even sure he would 'be here' next week.

Clearly letting her worry get the better of her, she insisted that she take Joseph to A+E for a check-up.
However, when they returned, despite still feeling unwell, doctors had informed Gemma that the youngster seemed fine and it wasn't anything to worry about which led to the stressed mum-of-five researching his symptoms online.
With no clear ending, some have wondered if Joseph's ailing health is about to take a deteriorating turn.
Taking to X to discuss what could be wrong, one Coronation Street fan worried: “Persistent headaches don’t sound good. Is Joseph really sick?”

Another asked: “Oh dear! What’s up with Joseph?!”
Before a third suggested: "Maybe Joseph needs glasses?"
But one viewer was unconvinced that the schoolboy was even sick and implied it was Gemma who had the issue and that she would be dealing with being an overprotective mother to her step-son.
They said: “I wonder if Gemma will start to be become overprotective of Joseph?”
Another sure-fire clue that Joseph could be taking centre stage is the impending return of his grandmother, Linda.
With Linda heading back to the cobbles, could she be supporting her grandson through a shocking illness?
