Coronation Street villain returns in attack on Cassie and Michael | The Sun

THINGS are slowly looking up for Cassie Plummer as she's seemingly determined to bond with her long-lost son Tyrone Dobbs.

Unfortunately, the return of a dangerous villain to Coronation Street spells trouble for her… and Abi Webster.

Evelyn Plummer (played by Maureen Lipman) gave her daughter Cassie (Claire Sweeney) a choice – get clean to be involved in Tyrone's life or remain helpless battling a drug addiction.

The pair of women left the ITV cobbles earlier this year to help Cassandra become sober without any distractions.

Cassie and Evelyn then returned to Weatherfield, with the former eager to get to know her long-lost son Tyrone (Alan Halsall) who had always been told she was dead.

With her life seemingly back on track, Cassandra tells Tyrone next week that she is going to the Citizens advice Bureau to start looking for somewhere to stay.

Little does he know that Cassie actually meets up with her drug dealer Dean Turnbull (Anthony Crank) who turns nasty as she owes him money.

Seeing Cassie fall to the ground in pain, Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) insists on taking her to hospital.

Dean follows them and when Ronnie (Vinta Morgan) arrives at A&E, he sees Michael in the middle of a row with Dean.

The drug dealer punches Michael and Ronnie reckons they should call the police, but Cassie asks them not to.

Regular viewers of the Manchester-based drama will perhaps remember Dean Turnbull as Abi's former drug supplier.

He was first seen in the long-running soap in March, 2022, before making a swift exit as Abi discovered she was pregnant and had gone into an early labour.

At the time, Dean sped off, leaving Abi to struggle alone in a deserted spot before she was helped by another passing driver.

Could he cause trouble for Abi and Cassie?

Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
