Coronation Street’s Sarah Platt makes decision over keeping baby

Coronation Street: Adam exposes lying pregnant wife Sarah at gender reveal party

It looks as though Coronation Street’s Sarah Platt (played by Tina O’Brien) has made up her mind about whether or not she’s keeping her baby.

Sarah fell pregnant earlier this year after becoming involved in an affair with Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths), although it was exposed to her husband Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson).

As Damon fled Weatherfield, the duo tried to get their relationship back on track with Adam believing he was the father to the baby.

But the truth came out at Sarah’s surprise gender reveal party when Adam wrote the words “it’s Damon’s” on a white balloon.

In upcoming scenes, ITV fans will see Adam confront Sarah over all the lies she’s told him, however, the mum-to-be is suddenly hit with stomach pains.

Not believing her, Adam assumes she’s after sympathy from him and decides to ignore her.

Getting into a taxi to go to the hospital, Sarah is spotted by Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) who goes to Adam as she’s concerned.

Hating himself for misinterpreting the situation, he puts their differences aside and rushes off after his wife.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the soap star details how Sarah feels about the health scare as she reveals her character is desperate for the baby

The soap star said: “I think she’s really scared. Everything that’s happened and everything that’s gone on with Stephen, the manipulation of the letter and all the fraud.

“The one thing that she was solid about was that she had an early scan, she’d seen this pregnancy and regardless of if it was Damon’s or Adam’s, she felt that she already loved this little tiny person growing inside her.

“She desperately wanted to have that baby, it was something that just clicked with her.

“So, regardless of how Adam is behaving, she is very scared because she wants this baby.”

At the moment, Damon is out of the picture after Adam ran him out of town, which gives the couple a glimmer of hope at reconciliation.

However, this week the bad boy was seen calling Sarah wanting to speak to her, although it’s unclear if he knows her current condition.

Could Damon be making a return to Weatherfield just as Adam starts to care for his wife again?

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
