Emmerdale'sAmelia Spencer is preparing to make a false statement to the police in a bid to save her dad, the latest spoilers have revealed.
During Tuesday night's episode, 1 August, viewers watched as the youngster was encouraged by Sarah Sugden to lie to the police to help her dad Dan's case.
Dan is currently days away from his plea hearing after being charged with grievous bodily harm for his attack on Amelia's stalker Lloyd Sawyer. Lloyd has been in a coma for weeks following the single punch from Dan.
However, Lloyd's wife Julie broke the news to Amelia on Tuesday that Lloyd is not going to wake up from his coma. The news left Amelia stunned, and as he panicked for her dad Sarah suggested that she tells the police that Lloyd assaulted her.
Sarah soon had a change of heart about the suggestion and in Wednesday's episode, it isn't long before she cracks. As Amelia heads off, a concerned Dan starts to worry about her whereabouts.
He starts to question Sarah about where his daughter may have got to, and Sarah confesses all. As she tells Dan about what Amelia is about to do, she blames herself for the situation.
The news leaves Dan panicked, and he soon gets the help of fellow villager Victoria Sugden to rush to find her. Despite their rush, they fear that they might be too late.
As her dad rushes to save her from making the claim, Amelia gets herself ready to try and save her dad. Will Dan make it time to save Amelia from making the mistake?
Elsewhere in the village, Moira Dingle confirms that she slept better after taking the loan from her brother-in-law Caleb Milligan. However, her husband Cain is left annoyed with his son Nate Robinson when he refuses some extra work, despite struggling for cash.
When Nate leaves, he then begs his old school pal Corey for some work, but he is left disappointed when Corey says he can't help him.
As for Bernice Blackstock, she is shocked when she finds out about her sister's kind gesture. Nicola King snaps and reveals that the new village bus stop is in memory of Harriet Finch and Liv Dingle. Harriet and Liv died in the horrific storms that hit the village in October last year.
Since Suni Sharma arrived in the village, there has been an obvious spark between him and Nicky Milligan. After the pair slept together on the night of Jai and Laurel's wedding, things have stepped up a notch.
However, during Wednesday night's episode, just days after Suni's uncle Rishi died, the pair are caught kissing by Nicky's ex Gabby Thomas. Gabby catching them leaves them both feeling wretched.
