Coronation Street fans were horrified when Amy Barlow was raped by Aaron Sandford while she was passed out.

During Friday night’s visit to the Cobbles, the drunken teen (played by James Craven) and fan-favourite Amy enjoyed a drunken night together with their friends.

But things soon took a turn for the worse after Aaron took advantage of Amy’s drunken state and raped her while she was unconscious in ITV’s harrowing scenes.

Now, viewers are convinced he will pay for his crime sooner than expected after eagle-eyed viewers spotted Amy’s parents Tracy and Steve were noticeably missing from the long-running soap.

Taking to Twitter, fans were quick to share their thoughts on the harrowing scenes with many predicting the protective mother will take matters into her own hands.

One user penned: “If Tracy finds out she’d rip Aaron’s head off #corrie” as another agreed: “@itvcorrie #Corrie Tracy is definitely going to kill Aaron [shocked emoji]!”

A third chimed in with: “Poor Amy. She was too drunk to conset to sex. Tracy Barlow is going to kill Aaron when she finds out that he raped her daughter. #Corrie.”

“Tracy is going to kill Aaron when she finds out what’s happened to Amy #Corrie # Coronation Street @itvcorrie,” a fourth echoed.

Meanwhile a fifth added: “#Corrie I’m just wondering who will kill Aaron first – Steve or Tracy ….. My money is on Tracy.”
