It's all about to kick off in Corrie next week as Daisy and Ryan receive a shocking update about villain Justin Rutherford.
Justin was arrested after attempting to attack Daisy with acid on her wedding day before Ryan heroically jumped in front of the bride to save her from being permanently burned and scarred.
Villain and stalker Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still) had been building up to the moment for weeks, but Ryan stopped the plan in its tracks. However, Daisy and Ryan are set to receive shocking news next week as Justin pleads not guilty at his hearing.
Daisy, who couldn't face the hearing, is told the devastating news by Weatherfield teacher Daniel Osbourne who attended the hearing.
Daisy later calls the hospital to share the news with Ryan who admitted that he was scared and didn't want to have to relive the nightmare all over again in court.
Ryan has struggled to move on from the trauma and will remain in the hospital for a while as doctors continue to work on his injuries.
To boost Ryan's spirits while he was recovering in the hospital, Daisy took Crystal to see him. Ryan expressed his gratitude to Daisy and started talking about his future, specifically in Ibiza where he was planning on moving to before he was hospitalised.
Ryan has a long road of recovery ahead with his surgeon telling him that his injuries are not healing the way they had hoped and that he is going to need a skin graft.
Struggling to come to terms with what has happened, Ryan leaves the hospital and goes missing as Daisy and Carla find his room empty and his backpack gone.
Ryan Prescott (Ryan Connor) recently told Metro that his character is fearing that his life will "never be the same again," and is trying to "reach out and clutch onto whatever he can within his life that will allow him to deny the reality".
Despite Ryan’s struggles to come to terms with what has happened, Corrie fans are predicting an unexpected romance with hero Ryan and Daisy as she has been Ryan's main source of support.
One fan wrote: "I think a relationship is going to occur," as a fellow Corrie lover wrote: "I sense Daisy will have a lot of guilt with this. A lot. I also hope it brings them closer.
"Daisy is deserving of a man who treats her kindly and with respect. No disrespect to the character of Daniel, but he has not been the kindest/most charming/supportive to Daisy during their romance."
