Who is Coronation Streets Suki Waters as reporter returns to the cobbles

Reporter Suki Waters first appeared on Coronation Street back in 2019, and she tends to reappear whenever there's newsworthy drama taking place on the cobbles.

The journalist, portrayed by actress Laura Littlewood, is soon set to return to Weatherfield as she sets her sights interviewing Ryan Connor after seeing some screen grabs from his X-rated videos and realising he was the victim of the acid attack, much to Ryan's horror.

Suki first made her way to the cobbles in June 2019 after finding out about Gemma Winter being pregnant with quadruplets, as she hoped to cover the story for Hiya! magazine but the deal didn't quite go to plan.

Suki then reappeared later than year when Gemma got stuck in a turnstile at a Weatherfield County match. The incident resulted in Gemma being harassed by the media, and she eventually turned down Suki's offerings of coverage.

In January 2020, the reporter, now working at the Weatherfield Gazette, returned to the cobbles to speak to Aggie Bailey who had been nominated for a Golden Heart Award. She was reluctant at first but eventually took part in an interview and photoshoot.

Suki was also present when Dev found out Chesney had betrayed him by working with competitor Freshco, and in October 2020, the journalist paid Leanne Battersby a visit to talk about her son Oliver's fund for medical treatment

Suki also composed an obituary for Jenny Connor's late husband Johnny in 2021, and interviewed Sally Metcalfe about her Weatherfield Borough Council campaign.

She was on hand to help Daniel Osborne last year when a protest took place at Weatherfield High and she interviewed killer Stephen about Nippersnapper earlier this year.

The character is portrayed by talented actress Laura Littlewood, who has also appeared in shows such as Crimewatch, Crimes That Shook Britain and In The Dark as well as the film The Lost Generation. She studied at Manchester School Of Acting and has also appeared in theatre productions.

Laura marked four years of playing Suki with a sweet post on Instagram earlier this year, where she branded Corrie the "loveliest" job.

She penned: "It's my 4th year playing Suki in Corrie and I finally got a pic outside the Rovers!! I just love popping in to stir the pot as this bitchy, little roll-neck wearing badass. The whole team, cast and crew are always so kind and welcoming, it really is the loveliest job."
