Dan Walker has revealed he misses his former BBC Breakfast co-stars just two months after moving to Channel 5.

The former BBC Breakfast presenter, 45, has spoken out about the reasons why left the BBC for a new job at Channel 5.

He previously co-hosted BBC Breakfast for six years from 2016 until 2022, where he shared the famous red sofa with the likes of Louise Minchin and Sally Nugent.

Dan took to his Instagram Stories a few days ago to put on a Q&A with his 276,000 followers, who were keen to find out how he feels about his new job.

The broadcaster wasn't afraid to admit he misses some of his old BBC pals such as weather star Carol Kirkwood and host Sally Nugent.

One fan asked: "Do you miss the early morning broadcasting?"

Dan candidly replied: "I miss Carol, Sally and the rest of the Breakfast team. I love them, and the show, to bits but it was time for a new challenge and I'm really enjoying @c5news"
