Danniella Westbrook turns down huge TV comeback – despite five figure pay cheque for just a few days work | The Sun

DANNIELLA Westbrook had turned down a huge TV comeback opportunity – despite a five-figure pay cheque.

The former EastEnders star has been seen on the silver screen since she left the BBC One soap for good in 2016.

Danniella, 49, who rose to fame as Sam Mitchell in 1990, turned down a new telly opportunity with E4.

The star was scouted to take part in the upcoming series of Celeb Cooking School, and offered a five-figure sum.

The show hosted by Melvin Odoom and starring chef Giorgio Locatelli helps hopeless celebs get to grips with cookery.

It is filmed over several instalments, meaning Danniella would've earned her five-figure sum for a few days work.

A source exclusively told The Sun: "Danniella was offered a really high fee to take part in the show.

"Producers were adamant they wanted her for the new series, and offered just over £15,000 to get her on board.

"Danniella had no choice but to decline the offer as it was a conflict of interest with other reality shows she has already accepted for later this year.

"E4s producers were gutted they couldn't make it work."

The Sun has approached Danniella's rep and E4 for comment.

Danniella has rarely appeared on TV since quitting her EastEnders role for good in 2016, after appearing in a series of episodes following Peggy Mitchell's death.

The star appeared on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here in 2003, and competed on Dancing on Ice in 2010.

In 2013, Danniella also made a brief appearance on Hollyoaks as character Trudy Ryan, before reaching the final of Celebrity Big Brother in 2016.

Danniella has been taking a back seat from the silver screen in recent years, instead focusing on a DJing career in 2016.

Last year, she instead turned her attentions to the stage as The Fairy Godmother in Sinderfella – which she played for one night at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London.
