DI Keeble (Alison Newman) has finally got Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) where she wants him in upcoming EastEnders episodes as she reveals that she’s had a secret plan in mind for him all along.

Phil agreed to be an informant for the police after brokering a deal with Keeble that saw him get out of prison early, and Keeble is about to make sure he keeps his part of the bargain by giving him a very specific target she wants information on.

Phil is extremely reluctant to get involved. The whole idea of grassing people up is one that runs completely against the Mitchell family code, but Keeble has another card up her sleeve. She threatens to cause trouble for Kat (Jessie Wallace) if Phil doesn’t do as she asks and give her the information she’s looking for.

Phil heads off to warn Kat – but will he get to her in time? And will he be forced to do Keeble’s bidding?

The whole situation will spark off a huge flashback episode that looks into the colourful past of the Mitchell family – and could finally reveal exactly why DI Keeble is apparently obsessed with bringing Phil Mitchell down.
