EastEnders’ Danny Walters drops hints Keanu could die in Christmas whodunnit

EastEnders hunk Danny Walters dropped a major hint his character Keanu Taylor could die at Christmas ahead of relationship struggles with Sharon Watts.

Earlier this year, the loved-up couple called off their engagement after Keanu discovered that his bride-to-be had betrayed him by sparking a secret deal with Lisa Fowler – played by Lucy Benjamin.

The pair were hoping to tie the knot later this year, with many viewers speculating their big day was tied to the upcoming Christmas murder story teased last year.

But their relationship has crumbled in a matter of weeks, and now the soap star fears his character may meet a grisly end during the festive whodunnit.

Speaking to The Sun, Danny confessed his concerns for his character after Sharon and Keanu failed to get their “happy ending”.

He told the publication: “I think Keanu would love him and Sharon to have a happy ending – Keanu adors Sahron and idolises her. She is his kryptonite and he absolutely loves her.

“But Danny Walters would always say happily ever after don’t really happen in dramas. For there to be big storytelling there has to be conflict, for every light you have to have dark.

“I want them to work but I also want them to go through some issues along the way,” he added.

All of the actors on the BBC One soap have been kept in the dark concerning the identity of the female killer, but that hasn’t stopped them from speculating throughout the year.

Speaking previously to the outlet at the TRIC Awards last month, Danny insisted that he has no idea who will be bumped off in the highly anticipated Christmas episode – but warned his castmates that no one is safe.

He confessed: “There is a lot of secrecy behind who has done it and who it is, to be honest my theory changes all the time.

“What’s really clever about the way Chris Clenshaw has done the story is everyone and the audience has become investigators and I think everyone likes that.

“That’s why great, police and crime series work very well because the audience like to work out who’s done it.

“I’m still trying to work it out – it could be Keanu, it could be Nish, it could be Ravi. I think at some point Keanu will have the cufflinks but we don’t know when,” he teased.

Fans will have to tune in to see whether the TV hunk will survive the Christmas period.
