Pictured is the emotional moment that sees EastEnders’ Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) attend hospital to find out his prostate cancer results.
He is accompanied by former wife Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) during the worry visit, with her having only recently discovered that he has been undergoing tests.
Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), who was in the doghouse with his fiancée for hiding what is going on, is also with the pair.
In the upcoming episode, it’s clear that Alfie is deeply worried, and Kat does her best to try and support him.
Eventually he is called through to find out if he has been diagnosed with cancer – but what news will he get?
Many are speculating that this worrying time could bring Kat and Alfie closer again, particularly with cracks showing in Kat’s relationship.
But Shane isn’t so sure that this is the way things are going.

Exclusively speaking to Metro.co.uk, he reflected: ‘You know what, I’m really enjoying Alfie being single! I’m just loving it!
‘I enjoyed the Alfie/Linda flirting bit, that’s good fun. Kat’s happy with Phil – I think! You’ll have to watch this space.’
He continued: ‘Someone called us Burton and Taylor. You know, we split up, we get back together, we split up again. But who knows what’s going to happen? Maybe something, maybe not.
‘But it’s exciting when you get the scripts to see if me and Jessie ever have scenes together. And if we do, we’re always conscious about not trying to tease the audience.
‘Whether it’s just a brush of the hand or a little loving look, where millions of people go, “Oh, they’re back together!” So, we’re always conscious of trying to keep our distance.’
It remains to be seen what the upcoming scenes will show in that sense, but it’s inevitable that Kat will be concerned with the man that she loved for so long.
The powerful cancer story is also giving Shane the chance to show a more emotional and sombre side to his usual cheeky character.
‘Alfie’s story is one that many viewers may relate to Shane [Richie] has thoughtfully portrayed the realities of being diagnosed with prostate cancer with grace and understanding,’ EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw said.
‘We hope that this storyline resonates with the audience, and that we represent it as sensitively, and as accurately as possible.’
