EastEnders' Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) delivered perhaps one of the most explosive lines in TV history with the iconic "You ain't my mother!", "Yes I am!" scene back in 2001.

Kat had given birth to Zoe as a teenager after she was raped by her uncle Harry Slater. She believed her only child was being raised as her sister, but as she learned in 2015, she actually had another, a boy, after giving birth to twins.

On the hunt to find out who her eldest son was, she and Alfie went to Redwater, prompting a spin-off for the pair. After spending a lot of time looking for her son, she discovered he was the twisted vicar, Dermott Dolan (Oisín Stack).

He killed Lance Byrne on the spin-off show and one intense scene saw him confirm to Kat that he was her son. But away from the drama, what is the actor up to now?

Years since he was revealed as Kat's on-screen son, Oisín has been living a more tranquil life. With a luxury feel to his Instagram feed, he has been holidaying in all kinds of places with his family.

The actor and director stays away from the spotlight when he's not hard at work – but he has had quite a few projects on since his stint on the soap. From a handful of episodes on various TV series since his stint in 2017 to a film titled Eight for Silver, he's kept himself busy.

Last year he shared a sweet note to Jessie on her birthday and posted a photo of the two of them writing: "Happy birthday to my favourite TV mum, the beautiful and talented Jessie Wallace."

Immediately he had people in his comments encouraging him to return to EastEnders, which Oisín said he would "love" to do. However, Kat and Alfie haven't spoken much about her forgotten son since they returned.

This could be because the ending of Redwater left their relationship up in the air. It was revealed that Dermott was a killer and he had lured his mum out toto sea with the intention of drowning her.

While he had a last-minute change of heart and tried to save her, viewers never saw what happened next. So it's unclear whether Dermott visiting Walford would be welcome or not…
