Ellie Leach dealt crushing blow after Strictly Come Dancing partner ‘exposed’

Corrie’s Ellie Leach will be joining Strictly Come Dancing 2023

In exclusive odds provided by Ladbrokes, Coronation Street star Ellie Leach could be paired with Nikita Kuzmin in the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The full line-up for the 2023 series has been announced and joining Ellie on her Strictly journey includes the likes of Les Dennis, Angela Rippon, Bobby Brazier, and Adam Thomas.

Rehearsals for the dance competition are well underway and fans are waiting to find out which celebrities will be paired with the professional dancers.

However, according to the bookmakers’ latest predictions, Ellie could be partnered up with Nikita – who was paired with Ellie Simmonds last year.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “The latest odds suggest Nikita Kuzmin will soon be swapping one Ellie for another, and the pair could well be a force to be reckoned with in this series.”

However, while the pair might be a “force to be reckoned with”, Ellie isn’t one of the favourites tipped to win the 2023 series.

Ellie has odds of 10/1 to be booted from the show first and odds of 14/1 of lifting the Glitterball Trophy.

However, the duo tipped to go all the way is EastEnders star Bobby and Bad Education’s Layton Williams.

Earlier this month, Ellie appeared on BBC Breakfast to chat about her upcoming stint on Strictly.

“I feel like I am getting a bit nervous now it is near to the time, but I am so excited,” the former soap star told Jon Kay.

“I’ve just told my family. I am the type of person where when someone says, ‘Don’t say anything,’ I’m like, ‘OK.’

“I’m so trustworthy, you can tell me a secret and I won’t tell anyone!”

“My dad very rarely shows his emotions but he said, ‘The hairs on the back of my neck are standing up, I am so proud of you,” Ellie explained when chatting about her family’s reactions.

“I could never have imagined this would happen and I am so grateful.”

During Ellie’s appearance on BBC Breakfast, body language expert Adrianne Carter believes the actress was feeling “nervous” about her upcoming appearance.

She pointed out: “I’m not sure I believe her when she says she didn’t tell her family… her tone of voice changes slightly which can be a sign of stress.

“She’s controlling her gestures and body language tightly which can be a sign of nerves.”

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One this autumn.
