Emmerdale: Cathy gets her PMDD diagnosis

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Emmerdale. 

Emmerdale’s Chloe Harris has been rumoured to leave the ITV soap after filming horrifying scenes but fans think someone else could be making their departure. 

It has been reported that Chloe Harris (played by Jessie Elland) may be killed off in a terrifying car crash which sees her vehicle driving off a cliff in scenes that were recently filmed. 

So far, nothing has been confirmed about the plot or her potential exit but pictures released have shown Chloe injured in the car before the incident with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and his ex-wife Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) at the scene. 

With shooting completed on this dramatic moment, it’s no wonder the rumour mill has been going into overdrive regarding her possible death. 

However, some viewers’ focus has been elsewhere with thoughts turning to a different character dying.

Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) was recently raped by her co-worker Craig Reed (Ben Addis) after reconnecting, having spent decades apart. 

They had grown up in the same children’s home where Lydia fell pregnant aged 15 to her baby Toby, who was stillborn and she subsequently buried him in the woods. 

Lydia explained what happened to her to Craig, bringing them closer together and leading to him admitting his feelings for his old friend. 

She made it clear that nothing was to ever happen between them as she was in love with her husband Sam Dingle (James Hooton) but he ignored Lydia and raped her.

Since the horrendous ordeal, Lydia hasn’t told anyone about what happened and has struggled to go to the police to report it. 

Craig, on the other hand, denies it was rape and insists it was consensual and he has been making things even more difficult as he keeps getting involved with her family. 

Fans of the ITV soap are now thinking the situation could result in Lydia killing Craig out of revenge. 

Taking to social media, one viewer wrote: “Definitely think the story with creepy Craig and Lydia will come to a conclusion next week while Sam’s away…actually thought be dragged on till Xmas but now wonder if Lydia kills him and Sam takes blame??”

Another agreed: “I’m starting to think that the Lydia story is starting to build up to Lydia killing him.”

While a third simply added: “I think he’ll end up dead!”

So does Lydia have it in her to kill Craig and if so, will she get away with it?
