Emmerdale: Moment Dan Spencer is arrested
Dan Spencer (played by Liam Fox) is taking some time away from Emmerdale after killing his daughter Amelia Spencer’s (Daisy Campbell) stalker Lloyd Sawyer (Matt Sutton), and he is currently waiting to find out how long his prison sentence will be. Will ITV viewers ever see him again?
Speaking to Express.co.uk and other media about Dan’s last few days in the village, actor Liam shared: “When I read the script I thought this was awful.
“He is kind of taking it all in and realising he is going and is getting support from other people in the village.
“There is some lovely stuff before he goes, he goes in the pub and the Man Club is really supporting him.
“It’s really well written, it’s really nice stuff. It made me cry a few times while reading it.”

The actor continued: “It’s really emotional, lovely stuff. I feel very lucky to get that sort of script around that story.”
When asked how fearful Dan is of his future, the actor explained: “He’s scared about how long he’s going to get [in prison], he has presumed he will get about three years or something like that.
“He’s got it in his head that after 18 months he might be out, so can he cope with 18 months in prison?”

The 53-year-old actor said his character will be “a different man” when he comes out of prison.
He shared: “Someone like Dan will not benefit from prison. There’s no rehabilitation as a human being needed for Dan, but at the same time he has committed manslaughter.”
Dan has been wracked with guilt ever since learning of Lloyd’s death and he has been replaying the horrifying moment over and over again in his head.
He punched Lloyd in the face after catching him with Amelia, with the stalker smacking his head on a rock after the blow. He died in hospital weeks later.
Liam added: “Anyone would hope there is a lightish sentence but he is just feeling pure guilt, it’s really sad.”
