Four big EastEnders stars return amid a brutal act of violence

There are some familiar faces showing up in next week’s EastEnders, as our episode guide reveals family showdowns, sinister suspicions, and a brutal mistake.

Since that big Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) reveal, fans have been waiting for the next chapter to play out, and next week we see the no-longer-dead icon again.

In France, she is keen to return to Walford, following in the steps of her son Peter (Thomas Law) who arrives back after being contacted by Bobby (Clay Milner Russell).

However, Ian (Adam Woodyatt) is keen to keep Cindy away from the Knights for as long as possible.

That’s going to be a difficult battle to win, and that big reunion is one mammoth step closer.

Another person showing up again is Martin Fowler (James Bye), who is back on the Square and more suspicious of Theo than ever.

With the help of Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), he determines to uncover the truth of Stacey’s (Lacey Turner) stalker.

And speaking of Eve, her own life is spiralling out of control. Faced with Caz, the woman driving when her sister died, Eve’s fury erupts.

After a vengeful act, she is staring at another prison sentence. Can Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) help her through this?

Monday August 21

Phil invites Alfie for a kick about with the boys in an attempt to get him to open up. Alfie remains evasive about his upcoming MRI, but Phil reminds him that he needs to take his health seriously for his kids by sharing that other kids on the Square like Lexi don’t have the privilege of two parents.

A concerned Suki finds Eve sleeping rough on a bench having got drunk all night. After a heart-to-heart about her sister’s death, Eve and Suki head to the police station to share new information on the case, but Eve is infuriated to be told that Caz has served her time and the case is now closed.

Eve heads to The Albert and drinks herself into oblivion. Suki enlists Stacey’s help to track Eve down, dragging her away from her coffee with Theo which infuriates him.

When Stacey learns the truth about Eve’s sister’s death, she panics when Felix reveals she left to go and meet Caz…

George snaps and reveals he’s had her number for years and its clear she doesn’t want to be found. Later, Elaine explains to George and Gina that its natural for Anna to want to speak to her mum leading them both to give Anna their blessing to make contact.

Anna calls her mum and leaves a message explaining she’s in Walford and how she misses her every day.

Elsewhere, Bobby is shocked to learn Kathy is selling the chippy after arriving at work to find a ‘for sale’ sign being erected. Failing to reach Kathy, who is on her honeymoon, Bobby decides to call Peter…

Tuesday August 22

Stacey takes a shaken Caz back to No.31 to try and diffuse the situation, but Caz is spooked again when Suki and Eve arrive.  Once alone with Caz, Theo meddles, encouraging Caz to go to the police in the hope of getting Eve out of the picture once and for all, but Suki overhears and interrupts.

Caz makes her excuses for the bathroom, but it’s not long before Suki discovers she’s left for the police station.

After radio silence, Anna sends a scathing text to her mum and heads to No.45 for a heart-to-heart with Bobby as the pair put their awkwardness from last week behind them. In France, Peter intercepts the text from Anna on Cindy’s phone and after interrogating Ian, learns he has two sisters.

Ian quickly deletes the messages from Anna and pleads with him not to tell Cindy which he agrees to, but Peter shocks Ian when he later shares his plans to leave for Walford to meet his two sisters declaring he’s booked on the Eurostar that night.

Later, Peter arrives at The Vic as an unsuspecting Gina and Anna prepare to close up for the night.

Patrick and Yolande are smitten, but it’s clear Yolande is hiding something after she keeps avoiding a call.

Later in the café, Yolande’s ex-lover Anton arrives and a fight with Patrick quickly ensues. Back at No.20, Anton insists Yolande is leaving with him, and tells her he’s willing to forgive and forget, giving her until tomorrow to come back and make amends.

Phil continues to put pressure on Alfie and shares that he is going to get his prostate checked as his dad Eric died of prostate cancer.

Wednesday August 23

Stacey is spooked when she arrives home to find her bedroom has been trashed.

Bobby wakes to find Peter sleeping on the sofa in No.45. Peter vows to help Bobby turn the chippy into a success to force Kathy not to sell, but instead he heads to The Vic to spy on his new sisters.

Things go from bad to worse as Ben arrives and gives Peter a mouthful before Gina reveals that Bobby is smitten with Anna. Peter attempts to stop the budding relationship between his siblings.

Anton pleads with Yolande to return to Birmingham by giving her an ultimatum.

Thursday August 24

Peter wakes full of regret from last night to a phone call from Cindy who can sense that something is wrong but Peter covers. Bobby orders Peter to leave.

Back in France, Cindy tells Ian she’s going to Walford to collect Peter but knowing that George and the girls are living on the Square, Ian convinces her not to leave by insisting he’ll make Peter come home.

Martin’s back from Bulgaria, but Stacey keeps tight-lipped on the break-in fearing his reaction. Eve is shocked when Theo arrives to tutor Lily, but it’s clear that Stacey wants him around following the incident. Eve and Theo have some cross words about his meddling behaviour with Caz.

Later, Eve heads to the café to fill Martin in on Stacey’s stalker.

Elsewhere, Billy and Honey anxiously await Janet’s GCSE results and are thrilled to learn that she’s passed. Phil and Alfie head to the hospital for their respective tests, and Alfie later thanks Phil for his support.
