Great British Bake Off star Prue Leith does not need a libido injection, according to her husband.

The TV star appeared on ITV's Loose Women on Tuesday (February 7) and helped the panel discuss an upcoming libido injection for women, called Kisspeptin.

Prue's husband John Playfair was sitting in the audience and the panel asked him whether Prue needed to have an injection herself.

To which he hilariously responded: "Oh, don't give her more."

He then added that he would have to "call in reinforcements" if she was given any extra hormones that would increase her sex drive.

Fans at home had a mixed response to this and took to social media to share their thoughts on the revelation.

One wrote: "F*** off! No one believes Prue Leith is a rampant sex Goddess, and her and her husband are at it like rabbits. They're in their 80s FFS! Just imagine it anyway. #LooseWomen #PrueLeith"

Another added: "I’ve gone right off my lunch #LooseWomen."

While a third laughed: "It just requires extra pillows past 50 #LooseWomen."

"#LooseWomen there is, it's all testosterone injections, and males and females can have it.

It's often given to women in menopause," a fourth shared.

A fifth put: "#LooseWomen I wanna look as good as Prue when I’m 82 years old!"

This comes a day after Janet Street-Porter issued some hilarious advice on the show.

She told her ITV co-stars how they should best drown out any noisy neighbours.

Janet was responding to her co-star Dame Kelly Holmes who revealed she experienced a rather loud hotel encounter.

Kelly explained: "I did leave a hotel room once, as at 3am in the morning all I could hear was [banging noises], then you hear their noises and there's nothing worse.

"It kept going on and on and I thought surely 'You're going to be finished soon' but no, so I called the reception and said 'Can you sort them out? I'm up early in the morning.'

Janet responded: "You need to travel with a recording of farmyard noises and have a podcast of pigs doing it and put it against the wall and hopefully it will put them off doing it."
