TOWIE star Georgia Harrison is on a digital blackout to protect her mental health after the shocking death of her ex Jake McClean.

The 33-year-old died last week in a late night car crash in Turkey which seriously injured girlfriend, Towie's Yazmin Oukhellou.

Taking to Instagram today, Georgia announced she was "turning off my phone" to give her time to "process" his death.

She wrote on her Instagram stories: "Turning off my phone for the next few days to try and process everything and avoid being triggered.

"If anyone needs me desperately please call my mum and she will decide if to pass on the message.

"Thank you for your understanding especially if it is business related I just need to process."

Georgia revealed she was meant to be on the trip to Turkey with Jake.

She paid tribute to her ex and told fans he was her only "meaningful" relationship.

She wrote: "Me and Jake were on and off for years since we have known each other from school. In fact he was the only meaningful relationship I've ever had.

"Our connection was special and in between any relationship we had with each other we were always friends until the end."

Alongside pictures of them cuddling in London, she said: "Thankyou for giving me the confidence to love myself, thankyou for always routing for me, thankyou for loving me but most of all thankyou for being my mukka even in my road girl days 😂.

"333 will always be my number for you and the way the world lost you will forever haunt me because it makes no sense rip Jake you lit up a room and everyone who met you couldn’t help but love you 👼🔮🐡."

Georgia shared some of their final texts in which Jake invited her to join him in Turkey.

He told her he would book her tickets and send confirmation after she confirmed she had a gap in her diary.

Jake, 33, was killed at the scene while Yazmin, 28, was raced to hospital with “serious injuries to her arm” where she remains in a stable condition.

Yazmin found fame on ITV reality show The Only Way Is Essex in 2017.

Meanwhile, Jake previously dated TOWIE regular Lauren Goodger.

The incident has rocked the show’s cast and crew to the core with her social media pages being flooded with messages of support from concerned well wishers.

A show source said: “We’re crossing our fingers and praying she makes a full recovery quickly. It’s beyond shocking, just devastating for everyone connected to the show.

“Jake and Yaz are both very well known in our circles. This is just unbelievably tragic. Everyone is stunned.”

The couple confirmed their romance last December via Instagram – seven months after The Sun told how they were an item.
