Grace Black exits Hollyoaks after a decade in iconic final scenes with a twist

Grace Black (Tamara Wall) has said goodbye to Hollyoaks after a decade, with a new adventure on the cards for the character as she moves to a prison closer to son Curtis.

The gangster, who as been part of many an iconic storyline over the past 10 years, was sent to prison after she took the fall for the heist, ensuring that Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) and Zara Morgan (Kelly Condron) got off scot free.

Curtis, meanwhile, was sent to Scotland to live with Courtney Campbell (Amy Conachan), though Grace had been hoping for him to visit this week, with Cindy supposed to be dropping by.

It soon came to light, however, that Cindy had stopped taking her bipolar medication and was experiencing an intense episode, which is why she sold the market and refrained from visiting Grace.

Back at the prison, Grace roped in James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) to represent her, hoping to get either get a shorter sentence or moved to a prison nearer Curtis in Scotland.

The second option proved more achievable, with James discovering that a security guard at the prison had a crush on Grace, who he branded a ‘gay icon’.

We couldn’t agree more.

After some inspiration from James, Grace seduced the security guard all the while recording the footage on her burner phone, before giving James the SD card as leverage, using it to blackmail the guard in question to get her transferred to a prison in Glasgow.

In typical Grace Black fashion, her plan proved a huge success, with Grace getting exactly what she wanted.

After informing James that the village is his empire now that she’s locked up, Grace called Cindy, who was in the hospital waiting to be admitted, instructing her to get well, making it quite clear that they would see one another again.

The gangster’s final appearance then came in a post credit scene, which revealed that she had another steamy afternoon with the security guard, before asking her to notify the prison she’s being moved to that there is a ‘new bitch on the block’.

Iconic.
