While Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) reconnects with an old friend, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) is once again left at the mercy of sleazy Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) in Coronation Street, as he wolf whistles her over the cobbles.

Things are looking bright and breezy in the world of Glenda, as she bumps into Estelle (Ruthie Henshall); an old friend from her days on the cruise ships.

The pair shared a cabin together and instantly reconnected over an impromptu rendition of Everything’s Coming Up Roses.

George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) and Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), who have been organising a funeral for Estelle’s mother, watch on in bewilderment, as the pair strut off down the cobbles to grab a drink together and reminisce about old times.

At the other end of the street, its a far cry from the bright lights of Broadway for Sarah, as she is subjected to wolf whistling from Damon.

The Corrie bad boy has made it clear that he wants to get her into bed, and though they came close once, Sarah has been batting him away ever since.

As she points out that it is 2023, not 1983 as his behaviour would suggest, Damon brushes her off, forcing her to clarify that in no uncertain terms does she want to get with him.

She goes on to remind him of the trouble he’s caused for her family, though it is no surprise when he tries to make himself the victim.

As Sarah reveals how terrified Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) has been, Damon insists that he has already told her not to worry.

With Sarah forced to face Damon’s misogynistic behaviour at every turn, will she ever be able to get rid of him?
