TELLY fans have been left "scared to turn the lights off" at what they have dubbed the scariest show on TV.
Presenter and paranormal investigator Danny Robins' hit BBC Sounds podcast has been transformed into a BBC show which has left viewers quaking in their boots.
Bosses have drummed up the anticipation of the nail-biting series, asking viewers: "Do ghosts exist? Are you Team Believer or Team Sceptic?"
They add: "Danny Robins investigates real-life stories of seemingly paranormal encounters."
The opening episode, entitled Miss Howard, sees Danny chat to Cate, who believes her house in Cambridgeshire is haunted.
The pair delve into the spooky happenings of her 1970s childhood to pinpoint what is real – and what is in the realm of the supernatural.

Many Uncanny viewers tagged Danny in their thoughts as they flooded X, formerly known as Twitter, with their responses.
One confessed: "My 12 year old son and I have just been consumed with terrified hysterical laughter after screaming in unison at Miss Howard’s looming face at the end of episode 1. Well done. Super viewing. That was tremendous stuff."
A second added: "Daughter is already complaining about being too terrified to go upstairs alone now."
A third confessed: "Decided to perk myself up with Uncanny tv show. So now I’m scared. All the emotions this morning!"

One added: "Obsessed with Uncanny. Listened to all the podcasts on BBC Sounds last week then watched ep1 of the TV series on Friday night. Scared the s**t out of me!"
A telly viewer confessed: "Absolutely brilliant .. I’m genuinely scared to turn the lights off!"
A fan then surmised: "Went on the TV scared the wife to death. Best program on TV. Massive well done."
It has also been claimed the show trumped Big Brother in the ratings.
The first eviction in Big Brother's re-boot – which saw Farida given the chop – scooped 813K viewers, while Uncanny drew in an audience of 936K.
