Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) was left thinking that she was a killer in EastEnders, after she attacked Ranveer Gutlai (Anil Goutam) in self-defence.

Ranveer, as viewers know, propositioned her last week, telling her that he would give her his big business contract in exchange for sex.

Suki, horrified, devised a plan to get the upper hand on the sleazy businessman, which proved successful, as she got Ranveer to discuss his blackmail, unaware that he was on camera.

Ranveer, however, became violent when the truth came out, grabbing Suki by the hair and forcing her back inside, where he proceeded to smack her.

In disturbing scenes, he got on top of Suki, and held her down, telling her that it’s ‘no wonder’ her children ‘hate’ her. Suki wrestled in his grip, and succeeded in grabbing a nearby clock, which she clobbered him over the head with.

Ranveer fell to the floor, motionless, leaving Suki convinced that she’d killed him. Subsequent scenes saw Ravi (Aaron Thiara) arrive, horrified to see his dad lying on the floor.

A panicked Suki explained the situation, revealing that Ranveer had tried to attack her, which was enough for Ravi to suggest that he take care of the whole mess for her.

The newcomer instructed Suki to vacate the premises, and after she did so, he started contemplating how to get rid of the body. A huge twist beckoned, however, as Ranveer regained consciousness!

But upon setting his sights on his son – complete with rubber gloves and a cleaning kit – the businessman lashed out, and attacked him, before yelling that he was ‘never really his dad’.

What exactly he meant by that will remain a mystery for the time being, as Ravi subsequently lashed out, attacking Ranveer with the clock – this time, killing him.

He covered up the crime, and even disposed of the camera footage that Suki had recorded, but he refrained from filling Suki in on the development, allowing her to believe that it was she who claimed Ranveer’s life!

Will Suki find out the truth?
