MARRIED At First Sight's first stars of the 2022 line-up have just said I Do.

Yet as well as pledging a happy ever after to a spouse they have never met, there's a host of wedding day details that come as a complete surprise, too.

MAFS contestant Marilyse Corrigan, who found love with Franky Spencer last series but split after six months, has dished the dirt.

The mum of two told OK! Online how she was able to select her dream dress and it was covered by a set show fee.

Yet if she splashed out more than the frock's budget, she would have had to pay for it herself.

She told the publication: "As part of wedding planning process, each contestant is allowed to choose their bridal party and is then given a brochure where they can choose extra details such as colour schemes and cake flavours.

"They send you a big brochure that has everything from the flowers to the table dressings to the cake and you have about eight options for each thing.

"For bridesmaids dresses for instance, you have eight styles to choose from and then you have eight colours too.

"I think the guys had to do this because Franky was telling me that he’d chosen navy blue as the theme – I did as well – and that’s the colour the bridesmaids wore."

She added: "We picked our own first dance songs. I don’t think Franky was very happy with my song and that’s the one that got picked.

"As soon as it came on, he was like ‘I didn’t choose this’ but looking back the song fits really well."

Yet Yorkshire lass Marilyse said her wedding speech and vows also had to be approved by E4 show bosses.

Yet there are some complete surprises through the day – mainly the wedding venue.

She continued: "You don’t get told where your wedding will be, you just get delivered there. The day before, you’re put up in a nice hotel, so when you wake up you have no idea where you’ll be going.

"In the morning, I got whisked away and the taxi driver wouldn’t even tell me where I was going."

Last year, Marilyse experienced the highs and lows of married life during a truly explosive season of MAFS that saw a cheating scandal, a recoupling and fights galore.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Marilyse Corrigan revealed the real reason behind her and Franky Spencer's split, admitting their relationship “went a bit dry” and they became “more like friends” than lovers.

During Monday's first episode of the 2022 series, Whitney married Duka.

Whitney, a PA from St Albans, prepared to meet her husband, HR man Duka from Birmingham, at at the altar.
