I’m A Celeb’s Ant and Dec share biggest ‘struggle’ about filming current series

I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly revealed they've "struggled" to film this series.

The Geordie duo are used to spending a month down under having hosted the hit ITV reality show for more than 20 years. But this year, Dec admitted things have been slightly different because of the time difference – in Australia.

The pair usually stay on Queensland's Gold Coast during the series, but are instead staying at a luxury £1000-a-night beachside apartment in New South Wales. Their plush pad, which is equipped with a private pool and a golf course nearby, is 20 miles from the production site.

This means the duo have to cross over the state time zone every day, constantly jumping between one hour ahead and one hour behind. "We’re struggling with the time difference here," Dec told the Daily Mail.

"Because we film the show in Queensland which is an hour behind where we are staying in New South Wales." He added: "It gets very confusing because we have to hop between the time zones."

Ant chipped in: "Yeah and it means we’re always late for restaurant bookings." The TV stars wake up ay 2am and drive around half and hour to the set each day. They then shoot the episode which airs in the evening in the UK.

After the live show ends, Ant and Dec head to the Bushtucker Trial clearing and watch the celebrities attempt to win meals for camp. Filming normally wraps at around 4pm. At 6:30pm, they head to bed to get enough sleep for their early start the next day.

The final of I'm A Celebrity 2023 airs this evening (December 10) and one of the celebs will be crowned King or Queen of the jungle. Remaining in camp is Sam Thompson, Tony Bellew and Nigel Farage.

Earlier in the week, Danielle Harold and Marvin Humes were sent packing after receiving the fewest public votes. This Morning presenter Josie Gibson narrowly missed out on the final three after she was eliminated during Saturday night's (December 9). The remaining trio will tackle one last Bushtucker Trial in a bid to win a luxurious meal for their final night in camp.
